New Season

Holy crap its been a while since I put up a post. A lot has changed also. The bike is now white and has an air shifter and is a low 12 second bike. I'll get up some pics soon. The team is going to Weds night test and tune tomorrow so i'll get some pics from that.

Naked Speed is working on expanding with building two more bikes, as to do grudge racing, so that's cool.

Anywho, I'll get up some pics and more to come.

Renthal UL's on the 9'er

After shoveling three and a half feet of snow off the Honda, I decided to put on them new Renthals. This is a pretty common mod that peeps do to the 9'er as the stock chrome bars are kinda bleh. These bars are lower and put the rider in a slightly more forward angled body position. A lot of people talk about having to drill holes when putting aftermarket bars on, but drilling into aluminum is probably not a good idea, and it takes way to long. The holes are for the small nubs on the inside of the blinker mount and on the throttle. Just grind the nubs off, and put on some JB Weld if your really worried about stuff moving, or electric tape.

One thing about putting on lower bars such as these, the stock mirrors no longer work. Since the bars are lower, the clutch and front brake lever are angled down further, making the mirrors point at the airplanes flying above. I never used to even use mirrors on my old zooky, but after using these stock mirrors while riding in traffic, I like mirrors. I'm just going to put on a small bar end mountain bike mirror and I got a 10 dollar set of bar end sliders for dirtbike bars. The bars costed 58 bucks, the mirror I'm getting for free, and the bar ends were 10. So this entire thing, assuming JB Weld is at your house, should run about 80 dollars. It ads to a super cool look and it feels much much better than the stocker bars.

For those of you who think that a blog about traveling India is cooler than my blog, you can go %^&* yourselves. Sorry I'm not traveling around India and have a really cool blog. Sorry my blog is about a dead beat race team and the stupid stuff we do. You all know who you are!!

Some Dragracing Stuff

Figured I'd at least keep the blog rolling a bit to help shake off the winter blues. It's not the most professional video, but it's at Cecil County Dragway at least!!!! I wonder if this is a Wednesday event? It must be recent since the trees are cleared around the white house. Actually I think its been that way for a while.

The track is still supposed to open February 26. I hope they get all the snow cleared, the naked speed team will be there if it is open.

Some Winter Stuff

So it snowed a lot, which sucks. However, the best bike show on the east coast is going to be at the timonium fairgrounds this weekend. The naked speed team will be there hahah whoo!

There are $5 coupons that take the adult $15 dollar ticket price down to $10. You can get these coupons on the website. Just type in timonium bike show 2010 and it'll come up.

Every bike manufacturer will be there, there too many to list.

Roland Sands CBR1000 Streetfighter!!!

Roland Sands, renowned bike builder and ex- gp racer designed the king of streetfighters, this custom cbr1000r.

Trading the fairings for a honda 599 headlight and visor, Sands exposed the powerhouse and frame of this beast. He added crash pucks and set of Renthal Far Bars instead of the clip-ons.

To help this dragon breathe fire is the Vance and Hines CS four-to-one exhaust.

Those wheels are the work of Performance Machine Wheels.

Holy hell this thing is sweet.
